Oh Well!

I made a prediction last year in regards to the state of Medicaid and the affects it would have on millions. A little birdie told me that they were about to loose their business due to lack of medicaid paying on time and the cuts they made to certain services. Really? Glad I dodged that bullet. Some things are common sense and evident. I don't have a degree of any sort and I saw this coming, developed a plan to ease the burden on physicians and insurance companies, but this uneducated fool knows nothing!

Only a DREAM!

My last post was just a dream.

So long for wishful thinking! It's like WTF! O.k. the world is a mess, a pure damn mess! I know that you and I are probably the only sane people left on this earth. Seriously. From the last time I posted until now it has been like a 24 hour reality show gone wild. More folks got more problems, more drama and more blame. Take some accountability for once. The bs won't stop until you say "it's my fault. I'm sorry, Lord forgive me." That's it! That's all!
Stop blaming people for yo shit! Stop walking around all to pieces because nobody gives a damn! Pick up yo long  face, apologize, do something to help somebody and stop feeling sorry for yourself, PLEASE!

Comment if you agree

No complaining. Just fresh air. That is, letting it in.

I wonder what it would be like for everyone to get along. For all to go well. For cooperation within our government. What happened? What went wrong? I will gladly tell you. Here it is: we've walked away from God. We've looked to our own understanding. There are too many know-it-all's and not enough let's-compromise.

God answered my question. He did so immediately after I published my blog yesterday (more like ranting). He led me to scripture as usual because I wasn't at a place where I could here Him speak. He showed me at least 7 examples of "why" it's so crazy for everybody. Were fighting a loosing battle. Things have gone too far for too long. Too many are sitting by looking at the materialistic  wealth they've amassed at the expense of peoples unemployment, poverty, hunger, and debt. With their numerous degrees and years of experience has led them to forget about how they got there and who they stepped on, making rules and decisions that affect every single human being on this earth and for what?
You refuse to compromise with those in control of this country and have the audacity to point fingers about who's not doing their job. Really? When you point your finger you have 3 pointing back with your thumb locked in place. In actuality, you have 100 billion fingers pointing back at you.

Folks, we can't keep going like this. War and protest are on the brink while killing and stealing will increase. Mass murders, homicides, and suicide is about to sky rocket. It's time to stop looking at the appearance and look in the mirror. We're all guilty of not doing better.

What, how and why we should do better is outlined and written. It even tells us what the consequences will be with literal illustration.
If you can read this you can read the Bible.
If you can search facebook, email, google plus, twitter: you can read the Bible. The answer to all our problems is right there. Written down. God's words are outlined in red as well as Jesus'. One persons relationship with God will not save you. Believing what the preacher says on t.v. is not going to save you. Just saying you've read the Bible is not going to get you to heaven. It's more than that.

You must have your own personal relationship with God. Which means you must treat it as a marriage. Love, honor and obey. Spend quality time, say thank you for the little things. And remember this:

"Be Grateful"
God has not promised me sunshine. That's not the way it will always be,
but a little rain, with all of God's sunshine, a little pain makes me appreciate the good times; Be Grateful!
God desires to feel your longing, every pain you feel He feels just like you. If He let you feel always good, then you wouldn't appreciate the good times; Be Grateful!
Be grateful, there's someone else worse off than you, Be grateful, because someone else would love to be in your shoes. Be grateful for everything you got!

Work hard

Pray long

Trust God

Deuteronomy 22:5, 10:17, 23:21, 2 Chronicles 7:14, 20:15, 29:16, Matthew 12:50, 12:41-42, 12:34-37, 12:32, 12:31, 12:30, 12:26, 12:25, John 16:33, 1 Corinthians 8:5, Proverbs 18:2, Matthew 10:36, Psalms 100:4, John 15:22, Deuteronomy 13:18, 13:4,3, 1 John 3:18 and Deuteronomy 11:1,9, Matthew 4:10, Deuteronomy 8:19-29

Fake it til you make it???

I'm not going to front like I don't have problems. I'm not going to pretend that this world is f'd up right now. I'm not going to ignore that the US is in a mess and its a house of cards, crumbling one by one. Have you ever been at a point where you just want to say f everybody and everything? Well, I'm at that point right now! Count it all in joy? yeah ok. I'm joyful I'm living, breathing, thinking, functioning all of that good stuff, but I'm tired, no I'm fed up with walking around with a fake smile when I really wanna bum rush a few folk.
I wonder, is this the harvest of the past? Is this my punishment for all my past mistakes. Is this because I should have stepped out on faith? Well, for the last question to self, I'm living because of faith. I haven't slapped anyone because of my faith. I haven't went back to my old ways because of my faith. I hate when people try to question my faith. I hate when I question my own, but right now I am. I feel like I've done something wrong. If I have I would like God to show me.
I'm tired Lord. Real tired. Real, real tired. REALLY TIRED! Lord You said that when I'm at my weakest that's when I'm strong. I don't feel strong. I'm like you, don't have a place to lay my head, nothing to call my own. I sleep on a worn out couch when I do sleep. I toss and turn all night, waking up every hour on the hour. My back has hurt non-stop for a year. I don't even know when my car is going to break down. Did I mention, I'm living on pennies and I'm not alone. Why is walking the straight and narrow so hard? Why when I go off by myself, I come back drained and disappointed? Why do I have to live with someone who wants my head on a platter? Why do I have to take the abuse of their negative comments and put down insults? Why do I have to always be the blame and I haven't done a damn thing wrong? Why? Why? And I'm not only asking for me but for the millions of other "me's" who are going through the same crap. Enough is enough. I don't do good at faking; that's why I'm still single. One nights sleep, a house to call my own, a car that has a warranty and heat, a home where my kids can run free and not be cursed at and put down. Just being able to support them without taking from something that they need. Am I asking too much? Oh and can I have that peace of mind back as well?

There's a good side!

Here are some scriptures of encouragement. I hope you take the time and read the whole chapters yourself. In this world there is no peace. In your soul there is peace; you have to search for it. If you know how to look for it, it will find you. But first, you need to know where to start! When I become frustrated I read my Bible. Luckily I was able to recover some of my bookmarks and I would like to share some with you!

Isaiah 55:1-13: Is anyone thirsty? Come and drink- even if you have no money! Come, take your choice of wine or milk - it's all free! Why spend your money on food that does not give you strength? Why pay for food that does you no good? Listen to Me (Jesus/God) and you will eat what is good. You will enjoy the finest food. Come to me with your ears wide open. Listen, and you will find life. I will make an everlasting covenant with you. I will give you all the unfailing love I promised to David ( A man after God's heart). See how I used him to display my power among the peoples. I made him a leader among the nations. You also will command nations you do not know, and peoples unknown to you will come running to obey, because I the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, have made you glorious! Seek the Lord while you can find Him. Call on Him now while He is near. Let the wicked change their ways and banish the very thought of doing wrong. Let them turn to the Lord that they may have mercy on them. Yes turn to our God, for He will forgive generously. " My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts" says the Lord. And my ways are  far beyond anything you could imagine. For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts. The rain and snow come down from the heavens and stay on the ground to water the earth. They cause the grain to grow, producing seed for the farmer and bread for the hungry. It is the same way with My Word. I sent it out, and it always produces fruit. It will accomplish all I want it to, and it will prosper everywhere I send it. You will live in joy and peace. The mountains and hills will burst into song, and the trees of the field will clap their hands! Where once there were thorns, cypress tress will grow. Where nettles grew, myrtles will sprout up. These events will bring great honor to the Lords name; they will be an everlasting sign of his love!

Joshua 1:5: No one will be able to stand against you as long as you live. For I will be with you as I was with Moses. I will not fail you or abandon you.

Deuteronomy 6:2-3: and you and your children and grandchildren must fear the Lord your God as long as you live. If you obey all His decrees and commands, you will enjoy a long life. Listen closely, Israel, and be careful to obey. then all will go well with you, and you will have many children in the land of milk and honey just as the Lord your God promised your ancestors.

1 John 4:4: But you belong to God, my dear children. You have already won a victory over those people, because the Spirit who lives in you is greater than the spirit who lives in the world.

Deuteronomy 8:3: Yes He humbled you by letting you go hungry and then feeding you with manna, a food previously unknown to you and your ancestors. He did it to teach you that people do not live by bread alone; rather, we live by every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord.

"" 8:5-7: Think about it: just as a parent disciplines a child, the Lord your God disciplines you for your own good. So obey the commands of the Lord your God by walking in His ways and fearing Him. For the Lord your God is bringing you into a good land of flowing streams pools of water, with fountains and springs that gush out into the valleys and hills.

Matthew 4:4: But Jesus told satan; " No! The scriptures say, People do not live by bread alone, but by every word from the mouth of God."

Matthew 4:10: "Get out of here satan," Jesus told him. "For the scriptures say, You must Love your God and serve only Him."

Philippians 4:7: Then you will experience God's peace, which exceeds anything we can understand! His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus!

Smile!!! It's gonna be alright!

No Surprise!

To some it may be a wonder but to me it's no surprise! I'm talking about the Pope resigning, the meteor strike in Russia and the cruise ship disaster.
When will people take God seriously? When will people realize that it's not about them? When will people recognize whats wrong? My answer is never. We ask for signs and when we get them we say "yeah right. whatever and I don't believe it!". News Flash: YOU BETTER START BELIEVING!
God said that near the end times, people will see miracles and don't believe. They will see wonders and refuse to believe. They will see warnings and continue to do their own thing. In the book of Matthew, Jesus said that the "first will be last and the last will be first. The least will be the greatest and the greatest will be the least.". Folks: WAKE UP! Play time is over! You can't keep doing as you wish and think there are no consequences.
To those who have been the underdog for so long, your time to rise is here! To those who have been the top dog for so long your time has come too! If God puts you in a position of authority and power, and you step on people on your way to the top, them same folk you stepped on to get there will be looking down at you when you land on your fanny. If God had you at the bottom, He's about to rocket you to the top! Nothing lasts forever but love! Love is what has spared us these past 2,000 years. But like the Israelites, we continue to worship other gods, forget who led us out of hell, and refuse to humble ourselves and pray. And, like them, we will see and feel Gods wrath!
Play time is over folks. The game is over. We loose!

The excessive snow and rain in the eastern United States is our final warning! In Nelson's Illustrated Bible Dictionary, it says that rain is a sign of God's judgement and the calm before the rain of hail fire and brimstone. Snow is a sign of cleansing and purification. The meteor strike in Russia is a sign of things to come. The cruise ship disaster was because of our pleasure seeking nature. Were spoiled. We honestly don't deserve God's mercy. And now time is up!

If you don't know Christ or God and you would like a better understanding and a relationship it's not too late. It's never too late to have that type of relationship. But it is too late to try to change what has already happened. And, the warnings are going to keep coming, the bad things will continue to happen and peace will be no where in sight! The answer is simple but people have made it complex and a bald face lie: 2 Chronicles 7:14. That's the answer. That's the only answer!

Mercy Me

I miss the old sayings! Like "don't look a gift horse in the mouth" and "ain't much to nothin". Makes you think huh? Well, I had a recent episode so to speak. My daughters are in the youth choir. Hasn't been one since I was a little girl and my grandmother was taking me to church. (Flashback) Moving on, they have to learn two songs by the 3rd Sunday in March. One of the songs is my favorite (didn't know why until now..), "Pass Me Not, O Gentle Savior". It is the response of scripture Matthew 11:10: See, I am sending My message ahead of You, who will prepare  Your way before You. (Shouting) Glory! It goes like this:
(1) Pass me not, O gentle Savior, Hear my humble cry, While on others Thou art calling, Do not pass me by. "I'm calling" Savior, O Savior, Hear My Humble Cry! While on others Thou art calling, Do not pass me by. (2) Let me at a throne of mercy, Find a sweet relief: Kneeling there in deep contrition, Help my unbelief. "I'm calling" Savior, O Savior.... (3) Trusting only in Thy merit, Would I seek Thy face, Heal my wounded, broken spirit, Save me by Thy Grace. "I'm calling" Savior, O Savior.....(4) Thou the Spring of all my comfort, More than life to me, Whom have I on earth beside Thee?

When I was a little girl, and I would go the funerals of those who had lived through the post Emancipation Proclamation era, they would sing that song. I mean sing that song! Not with remorse, but peace. I never knew all those verses until recently. I only knew the hook and the first verse. I was usually shuffled out by my parents who didn't want me to see people crying. And to this day, If you cry, I'm going to cry.

This song is also an important piece of Black History that is no longer taught but is of the utmost importance. Singing was the release of trouble and burden during slavery. It also provided information on where to go and how to get there. Although the Bible was banned from being taught to Black people, they still gained access and they knew that it was a sweet relief. Here's something else people don't know: Every Person up until the New Testament was Black! After the first flood people ventured out from sea to sea. And its very well documented in the Old Testament, that's why the slaves couldn't read the Bible. The slave masters knew that it was a threat to them because Exodus, Numbers, Leviticus, Timothy, Matthew tells how a master is to treat his slave, and they knew that they would be destroyed by their slaves so in turn they oppressed them.

The song was written circa 1840, it was put into text by Fanny J. Crosby, 1820-1915, the tune was composed by William H. Doane, 1832-1915.

Somebody saw hell on earth. Somebody saw a lot of grief, pain and harsh punishment. Somebody was hurt and saw death as true peace. Somebody also blamed themselves for what they were going through, but, they had that reassurance that it was a Better Place somewhere over the river. They were ready to Cross the River Jordan. When you have time, go some place by yourself and think about this song. Think about the verses. Think about the lyrics. If you start crying like I did, its OK! Your'e doing your soul a big favor, your'e cleansing it. Your'e releasing that sorrow that's there. Your'e giving it rest. Its finding Sweet Relief.

My People

With all that's going on within the past 24 hours, a profound scripture screams to be mentioned. It is 2 Chronicles 7:14:
(13) "At times I might shut up the heavens so that no rain falls, or command grasshoppers to devour your crops or send plagues among you. (14) Then if My people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land. (15) My eyes will be attentive to every prayer in this place."

Folks, we need to get it together, come together and stop seeking self satisfaction! What people miss and don't understand is that yes, God forgives us of our sins, but, when we continue to do what is wrong and we know that it's wrong we will not be forgiven. When you deny Jesus/God, He will deny you! The United States is the equivalent to Sodom and Gomorrah (2 countries not people) Genesis 18-19. They practiced every ounce of immorality that we (the US) do. And yet, time after time God forgave them but they kept right on doing it. Then when He got tired He destroyed them. Isn't that what people do when their fed up with someone or something?

All of what unbelievers see that is happening is bad luck. WRONG! GOD IS FED UP! It's not bad luck its called "harvest". When you remove God from any thing, sure all is good for a moment but when the bow breaks and the cradle falls, nobody is prepared. People can't cope. People resort to violence, they kill each other. Destroy one another.

Please, I beg you, to do as the scripture says! Romans 3:23 says that we ALL fall short of the Glory of God, which means no one is perfect! And even I, have to ask for forgiveness daily because I am far from perfect! You can say with your mouth that you Love God and you obey, but, you're not living a life that says so. If you Love Him, you would'nt seek your own desires. There would be no budget cuts, few poor people, more emphasis and concern to human life versus a damn animal. There would be no competition, no need for PhD's and Masters degrees.

It's only going to get worse. Unfortunately it takes utter destruction for people to realize how blessed they truly are. Don't let that be you!

Pardon Me!

I'm laughing so hard right now! But, seriously, it's a damn shame! Last year this time, I told a lot of people that what is happening would happen. I'm a resident of NC and things are about to go haywire! The governor is refusing to accept healthcare funding for our state. Not only that, the Administrative cost for Medicaid in this states exceeds 6 billion dollars! Now mind you, there are millions out of work; they're cutting the unemployment benefits by 40%; which leaves millions dependent on Medicaid because they can't afford health insurance. With Medicaid facing cuts, its going to leave about 80,000 or more without health coverage even with the healthcare act! GEESH!!!
My company has come up with a plan that will save millions in spending and lively hoods! I've went to many lenders and they basically laughed in my face; so who's laughing now?! There are so many good people who are hurting because of those in high places refusal to get off their high horse and walk along the dusty road along with the rest of us.
This goes back to the post I made about the underdog and common sense! As you can see, those with the degrees, years of experience, and social recognition have made a decision for us: to take what you can get and shut up! Not fair! scripture says that those who are the least will be the greatest and those who are the greatest will be the least. You can't treat people any ol kind of way and think its going to go well for you. Matthew 7:2 says to do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

You should never underestimate a person. The one thing you think they couldn't do will most likely be done. It doesn't have to be a person either. Just saying. When we look for the worst we find it. And when the unfairness has had it's day, it too must come to an end.
You have to look for the good or else you won't find it. Situation looks dark take a flashlight, it's raining cats and frogs look for the rainbow. Life kicks you in the fanny, brush off your hiney and try it again.

No, I'm not preggers! Unfortunately its naturally impossible for me but with God All Things are possible! Yesterday was a slap in the face and today is just a I'm ready for it to be over kind of deal. I heard some what I consider bad news but for someone else it was joyful. So, I found myself awake once more through the night, praying and meditating and asking God for understanding. And, as usual, He "told" me.
I went outside, sat in my car which has no heat; but the way I felt I didn't need any! I said to myself, " Lord, I'm learning to appreciate the punches and I'm not a punk; and I'm trying so hard to let the punches roll and I, am trying to allow myself not to go ahead and handle it like You know I can, so please, I beg You to please throw me a ice pack, wipe my face with vasalein and a give me a gush of water cus I can't stop now!"
On cue, I turned on the radio, and I heard a minister speaking. I listened. I really listened. He was speaking of the story of Job, whom God allowed for a moment to be tested by satan to prove to satan how truly he was a friend to God. This is just an overview, I encourage you to read it for yourself, and take your time it's a long book but very important. Job was a very rich God fearing man. He had it all! Well satan approaches God and tells God that if he were to take all that Job had, Job would curse God. Well God being the most omnipotent, trusting, loving, patient God of All Creation had enough faith in Job, a mere human to withstand the hardships, even to the point of being covered in boils that ruptured and itched for 7 yrs to where sitting naked in dust and ashes and still no relief. That's hell! Job decided to ask, complain, and throw a pity party and question God ( I'm telling you from experience DON"T DO THAT YOU MAY NOT LIKE HIS ANSWER!); oh boy here it comes; God told Him that He was God and He could Do as He PLEASE! He Is the Maker of ALL THINGS GOOD AND BAD HE BRINGS SORROW ON THE GOOD AND THE UNJUST. HE IS NOT A RESPECTER OF PERSONS FOR AS HE SHOWS KINDNESS HE ALSO SHOWS SORROW SO DON"T EVER TEMPT THE LORD OR QUESTION HIM. IF YOU LOVE HIM AS YOU SAY YOU DO AND YOU REMAIN FAITHFUL, AND KNOW YOUR PLACE THEN ALL THAT YOU LOST WILL BE RESTORED, YOU'LL HAVE DOUBLE FOR YOUR TROUBLE AND GAIN FOR YOUR PAIN SO LEARN TO COUNT IT ALL ON JOY! Job understood and he apologized to God (as did I), and God gave him an additional life time, twice what he lost and more than what he had.
I too have seen His goodness time and time again. When I was at my lowest and had nothing at all He made a way. He provided. He came through, and at times it was more than what I actually needed.
What would have taken years to get over, months to figure out, and headaches, and swollen eyes to see, with all I have endured; 12 hrs later He calmed me down because folks I was in flip mode, I'm talking about "Set it off" type shit lol! I can laugh about it now. I found peace. I sought God and I called on Jesus because it was just too much for me to bear. I just couldn't mentally and physically deal with it! And on time He came through. He lifted the burden, HE gave me comfort. He eased my soul.
Folks, I KNOW HOW HARD IT IS, it's truly a praying time. With the pressures and stress in this life and in this time, YOU HAVE TO PRAY TO KEEP FROM GOING CRAZY! I understand fully why people snap! I understand that question why me! I know how it feels to not have two pennies to rub together or not to have a pot to piss in or widow to throw it out of! IT FREAKIN HURTS MAN!!!! Nobody should ever have to go through that, and there's always the ones who didn't deserve the bullshit at all. But they keep going, keep trying, keep smiling when you want to lay on the floor and cry like a baby! Your day is coming and the ones who hurt you is to. It won't be too much longer. (I HOPE! Because GOD KNOWS! A sista bout had it and I'm not alone!)

Maybe I'm trippin!

Day 2 of hearing noises lol! Yesterday around 4 a.m., I heard someone call my name; it was a distinct voice, not one that I recall but being my reason for waking up. A few minutes ago, I heard who I thought was my daughter saying, "mom, mom, mom, God'? Yeah, at least I "think" that's what I heard. Now, I've taken my stripes like a big girl for all the bullshit I've done and some other folks too! I notice that God speaks to me in the wee hours of the morning.
Yep, I've been under stress and still are. Yes, it probably is my nerves. No, my faith hadn't waiver, it's too strong in my opinion, my opinion now. Well, for starters, everyone is quiet, I can think clearly. I wonder how many are awake like me but, for different reasons. Millions I suppose. Most likely worried, lonely, heart broken, distraught, afraid, frustrated, anguished or just plain ole sick and tired. SUICIDE IS NOT AN OPTION! That's the quicker route to a place hotter than a Arizona summer 7 times over! Yes, this feels like hell, but at least you can open the frig and the cold air won't evaporate into a sizzling vapor.
This may sound text book; but remember Psalm 23: "The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want; Who shall I fear, Who shall I be afraid, for the Lord protects me as I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I shall fear no evil, for thou are with me, He comforts me with thy rod and thy staff, Who shall I be afraid?" No, it's not the complete Psalm but, maybe it will help somebody, maybe somebody will read this and be prompted to see for themselves. Also, should you be prompted to look, go to the book of James. It's near the end of the book of the New testament, just before Jude and Revelation. It supports the notion of perseverance through suffering. I've had to read it a many times! Also 3 Peter, Ephesians, Matthew 6 & 7, the book of Job, Jonah, just to name a few.

This road of life has many pot holes that can't be fixed. Express ways that lead to no where. Exits that lead you downtown into the maze of streets that lead every way but the right way. Every now and then you'll venture onto a scenic highway where the forest is grand, the air is fresh and the skies are picture perfect. And, yes, unfortunately, you will come across that wide desert highway, you may overheat, your tounge may stick to the roof of your mouth and you may make it to civilization on your finger tips and knees.

Don't give up. Keep HOPE ALIVE. Reach for that last morsel of determination in the bottom of your soul and give it one more try. It ain't over until you say so, and, I know it doesn't look like it, but good trumps evil every time!

Try to get some rest! There's a better day ahead!

Joy does come in the mourning

As I read through my note pad and I take in all that's around me, I somehow, am at peace. I listen to people and I mean listen-to-people, everybody is seeking the same thing: PEACE. Whether it be world, family, conscious or mind, everybody wants it. That one place, one person, one thing that we long for we spend time, money, intellect and energy to get; and at some point it reminds us that it's not enough, it's not what I was looking for there, with them, or with that. Many don't realize it until it's too late and their hurt. Or worse, they never find it all, they leave unhappy and unsatisfied.
I used to feel the same way. Looking for love in all the wrong places, with the wrong things and the wrong people. I've hit rock bottom more than once, but I keep a rule: 3 strikes and you're out. I'm not saying I hate you or I won't ever speak to you, I just refuse to allow myself to be unhappy. Some people see it as cold, or I have no conscious. I how I do and I refuse again to allow you to tamper with that. I still love you in spite of, but the hi and bye rule applies indefinitely. I won't leave you hanging or desperate but i will approach with caution and pray about it hard. And in doing so, I realize that the peace and love for myself, my faith is worth a lot more than cars, homes and things that will break, stop working and people that will leave me. It hurts to see perfectly good people end up hurt and destroyed because of a person, place, or thing. How can you allow something that will eventually wear out bring you to your knees. That's torture!
If you need somebody that bad, give Jesus a try. He's like any other man; He's among many, is there where He's most needed, shows love to everybody, but if you earnestly seek Him, spend time with Him, He will be there for you, and He will bear all your burdens and give you rest. He will speak on your behalf in any prayer that is of His purpose and pleasing to God. It doesn't cost you a dime, and if you decide to make an investment; the return is 100 times more than what you gave Him. He Is Peace, Love, and Joy but only until you have earnestly sought His guidance, and have seen trouble on every side, withstood every test, and humble yourself to your enemies, love those who hurt you and be nice to those who curse you will then, realize and understand what peace, love and joy truly mean. But first you have to: seek, knock, and open your heart to a Man name Jesus Christ!

Smile! It WILL get Better!

Kids are smarter than adults think they are!

Children are very observant! They listen more than we think they do but they use their own format. For instance, my son is 13 about to be 14 and he has more sense than most adults I know; including myself at times. He has better judgement than those who project age as their wisdom. Sometimes, I have to put on the breaks because he's starting to smell his top lip! But, its only occasional and I Thank God for that! Raising children is a full time job! With what's going on in this crazy world even being with them 24 hrs a day is not enough and we have to let them experience life for themselves, oh God! I'm a over protective parent there I admit it! I have not always been a good person, yes I have a past but that's just what it is! I've learned the hard, expensive way but I learned more than what Yale could teach me! I used to be ashamed and when people would call me out, I was(still is to a certain degree, but now I pray for them)  ready to tear their head off and make them feel like I felt. But I learned, and that's what matters most , I LEARNED AND THAT ROAD I VOW TO TAKE NO MORE UNLESS YOU TRY TO HARM MY CHILDREN AND I HAVE MORE THAN 1! Good news: I'm grateful! I'm thankful because it provides me with a undeniable testimony that no one can speak on my behalf! And had I not been through what I been through, my kids could have become the tax payers problem, and, I REFUSE TO LET MY CHILDREN BE DEEMED A MENACE TO SOCIETY, UNFIT TO FUNCTION IN SOCIETY AND ABOVE ALL A UNPRODUCTIVE CITIZEN!

Ok, I'm finished lol! Getting back to the kids, folks don't sleep on them! Kids are just as bright as a light bulb and technology is their teacher. There is so much accessible information both good and bad! Because of all this knowledge we have veered away from the true knowledge! I have to read, study and meditate every single day! This life is hard folks. And, with all that's going on its even harder! But, there is some place we can go for advice, like I said, I have to everyday! Proverbs 1:7-19, tells you how to deal with children, how to raise them and what to teach them. Prov. 1:20-33 explains the outcome of your lack of response. Proverbs 2 & 3 also explains in depth the benefits of discipline and respecting discipline, Prov. 3:11 is very important too.

I'm not trying to preach I just want you know that there are many beneficial attributes to the Bible for dealing with life! Before you loose hope give it one more try! It has taken 9 months but the children in my Sunday School class get the Bible's themselves! That's a miracle from God right there!!! It's fun and exciting, it has sex&drama, love stories, lies, backstabbers, murderers; just what you see on TV!

Don't knock it til you try it!!!
p.s. please comment! If you have something you want to add; knock yourself out! I don't judge and I don't have to like your comment but I will accept it!

Common sense ain't common no more!

Listening to music is therapy for me. I like all genre's, but not some of whats playing today! That noise my kids listen is not music, it's lies and false hope, and worst of all idolatry! On my way home I heard my favorite artist: Tupac! Yes, I'm a 2 pac fan, Notorious BIG, Pharcyde, Leaders of the New Skool, Scarface, Nas, AZ, Pete Rock & C L Smooth, UGK, DTP, Ludacris, 8 ball MJG, LTD, Jeffrey Osbourne, O Jays, Leanne Wommack; no need to continue lol! Any who, those artists had a story, a meaning, a description of what it really is! Not popping bottles, buying stuff you couldn't afford, walking around like a model, rocking clothes that cost more than your light bill; dude come on! There are more important things than looking like a millionaire and living off food stamps! Priorities people! What makes it even worse, the media has commercialized drama, death, violence, scandal, and the "its this way or no way" attitude. They've put so much emphasis on titles and entitlement that people actually feel its all about them; really; didn't get the memo!
Why do people who have the most prestige education destroy people's lives with greed and power? Why are the most successful and profitable companies where people actually feel like they matter, are established and founded by high school and college drop outs? I will tell you why: because they'e tapped in to this genetic flower called common sense; that seems to have been altered over the past 25 years. Some have it and some don't. This too is also found in the Good Book, in the new testament in the book of 1 Corinthians and I believe in the book of Romans; I don't have my note pad with me so I can't give you the exact chapter and verse so, take a look for yourself, use the Message version. Any way, it speaks of the scholars and philosophers, how they've taken their worldly knowledge and denied God's Word as the basis for any functionality of human life; thus creating concepts and ideas that eventually break down, destroy and manipulate human kind.
So who's the smarty pants now?!

I won't complain!

In the midst of my need to complain I think about all the things I'm thankful for! For starters, my kids! They make me laugh when I'm mad with the world. Boy have they saved many lives!! My health of course, there are some things I can improve like exercise, but hey I'm satisfied. My somewhat clear mind (I wish lol), the movement of my limbs and the fact I don't need someone to feed me, clothe me, or bathe me!
I am however aggravated! I live (for the moment) in a small town that's at least one hour from a major city! It's hard to get business because everybody is doing the same thing. People are border line low-class, so they can't afford my services (geesh). I feel like I'm in the pit of hell everyday! It's like this place is a bucket full of crabs! You get to the rim and here comes snappy pulling you down! Why I came back? I ask God the same question, then He reminds me that I have a heart; I'm honoring my mother and father, (yeah). Some people you have to love from a distance!
Right now, I'm catching hell on both sides! When you choose to do right; look out! satan is coming on both sides! If he can't get you he will get the ones in your family with the weakest soul. You can claim your'e covered by the blood all you want, but, if your'e not treating people right, loving your enemies, living in submission to God, he will get you down!
That's when you have to be bold and let him know your'e not the one! Anger is his ally! Hate is his love, frustration is his baby, and deception is his wife! A complaint is an invitation to the pitty party he has planned for you. Next time you get the urge to pitch a fit remember who your'e opening the door too! DON"T LET him IN!!!

Two Faced

Well, this is a touchy topic. At some point were all guilty of being two faced, and, if your'e not God Bless you! Smiling in someones face to get what you and turn and kick dust on them when your'e among others is just that. It's not a good thing nor is there justification for it. This is something else that people do: ask for the truth but can't handle the truth; then deem you as a liar because you wanted to spare their feelings. Next on the list is finding fault in everything a person does: you question their avoidance of you; why? Here's a doosie; you complain your life is a living hell but you sit in front of the screen, searching for a quick fix instead of fixing what you can of the situation.
Uggghhh! I detest those conversations and scenarios! Like, ok, you heard the phrase "the dog that brings the bone, carries the bone"; be weary of people like that! If they're running to tell you someone else's business, their doing the same to you. That's also in the Bible. That's where a smile and a hello/goodbye rule steps in. And yes they're still going to talk about you because your'e being 'antisocial" (been there)! Good news! Pay back is around the corner; give the person to God.(He will get them, I promise and He will let you know)

Here comes the judge! Do you promise to the whole truth and nothing but the truth so help you God? Yesssss! Well you asked for it and now I'm the devil! First of all the devil is a liar, he is known as the accuser, Second, you can preach the truth to others but wen you hear the truth about you and how your'e wrong, all hell is about to break loose! You can dish it but can't take it! People, please understand this scripture: Ask and it shall be given, Seek and you shall find, Knock and the door will be opened, for if you believe you have received it will be given" (Matthew 7:7 msg version). That applies to good and bad! Haven't you heard the saying "be careful what you ask for"?
The blamer. This also applies to another scripture: Do not judge, for what measure you use to judge someone God will use to judge you (Matthew 7:2). Make sure the smudge on your face is gone before telling someone to clean theirs. Please make sure you've dotted all I's and crossed all T's and if you feel like you can do it better; just do it. There's no need for finger pointing when you have 3 pointing back at you!

Drum roll please...... STOP COMPLAINING!!! Before you feel the urge to complain, stop, think of all your short comings, what have you done to change it? Why even let it bother you? At some point we have to realize that some people, places, and things will just not change and, your whining won't make it happen any faster! Let it go!!! Once again there is scripture for this too: "Can all your worries add a single moment to your life?" (Matthew 6:27). No it can't, if it could we all would live to the age of 500!

Whether you know it or not, all these occurrences affect your health! Talking about people makes your mouth long, complaining brings about body aches and headaches, worrying can cause wrinkles because your'e frowned up all the time! Smile! Take a breath! Thank God! Help those who hurt you, bless those who use you and let God deal with them so that you won't end up on blood pressure meds!

I used to be the same way, but it took a lot of discipline and determination to overcome them! I was talked about, lied on, cursed out, blamed, walked on, used and abused but, when I let God take over, and I said " Lord I can't do this by myself! I surrender me and my problems and I give them ALL to You! I want back my joy, peace, and rest that You promised, and, I promise to give You my burdens" and from that day on I don't worry, I don't complain, and what I can't fix, God replaces or repairs!

Read Between The Lines

Have you ever wondered what our forefathers think of what our constitution has become? I do. I have been even more lately. Which leads me to the wording of the pledge of allegiance: "I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America. And to the Republic, for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all." Really? Let's recap for just a moment. This is not a message or portrayal of hate for the country in which I reside; its just a thought or two about how far we have swerved away from the pledge of allegiance.

(1) "And to the Republic for which it stands..." Think about this one for a moment. No comment from me!
(2) "one nation under God, indivisible...." This is not a remark of hate just think about this too. This statement is untrue. As I said before I'm a teacher of God's Word; and there's not one scripture that accepts same sex marriage, the rich staying rich, murder, suicide... there are over 20 religions in the United States alone, and God has very few influence in their message. This country has been divided since its foundation. There is currently division within our government. There is division among the "classes" of society.
(3) "liberty and justice for all...." Where? Not here? Sure you have the liberty to say what you want until you offend someone. Justice applies if your bank account has more that 7 digits. Your'e innocent until proven guilty so they say, but even after your'e proven innocent the court of public opinion has your neck in a noose awaiting to open the gallows.

The United States reminds me of the Israelites, who only followed God long enough to get out of trouble and once they were rescued, returned to the same practices that lead to their destruction; over and over again. We need to understand that there are greater forces that we don't see and won't see because human nature won't allow us to do right with it. Take a few moments out of your hectic day and say "Lord I Thank You" with sincerity in your heart. Help someone in need; it doesn't have to be financially it could be a kind word, a smile, a "hello", or even a "how are you"?. Stop and think about somebody other than yourself. Show love to the man on the street with a cup of coffee and a sandwich. You will be amazed at the blessing you'll receive!

Is it a sign?

So I'm taking stock of what is wrong, what went wrong, and what am I doing that's wrong. I sponsored a health fair on Saturday at my church. The persons who said they would be there were no shows. No phone call, no email, nothing. As you may know (maybe you don't care) my company provides community intervention and prevention services. I won't go into detail because of the many sharks and thieves. I started this because of the many complaints I've heard that no one cares, no one wants to help anyone and I've found that people just complain for no reason. Any way, all that day (Saturday) I saw the number 13. It was every where. Most people associate the number 13 with bad luck, but, I read that it was a positive sign from God. It says that I've mastered the mind (really??), success and commerce (the last one is a question considering I only have 63 cents in my bank account; go figure!). It's time to accomplish larger tasks.
Getting back to the fair flop. When I think about how God works, He saved me from embarrassment, dishonor, and humiliation. That in turn leads me back to scripture, which says in Mark 6:3-6, that a prophet (not saying I'm a prophet) is not welcomed in his hometown or among family. Because of this, help and healing could not be performed.(I know its not verbatim, but you get the point.) I've reached out to my fellow church family to those who had expertise into the message and services I'm providing; do you think they were of assistance? Then, I walked up on them talking about me behind my back (not surprising). And did I mention they were hiding food and drinks for themselves? The Bible says that the church is the devils playground which I've found to be true. But the role of the church as well as so called Christians, is to help one another. I take my role seriously (I'm a teacher in the church too). It bothers me to know that the same folks in the choir and sanctuary who shout and witness to the Word don't do what their shouting and witnessing to which I understand because there's a parable in the book of Matthew about the seed that fell on rugged ground. In the book of 1 Timothy, Paul alerts Timothy to the disrespect and unaccepted role in the message of Christ because of his age, which I too are a lot younger than those whom I fellowship with. With that being said, I think I understand now. It's time to take my business elsewhere.
I've shaken the dust from my feet, and no one can say I didn't start at home, but as the scripture has said you can only do so much when you're surrounded by haters. I'm grateful for the experience, it pushes me to do it just a little better, a little harder and with a lot more love!
