Have you ever wondered what our forefathers think of what our constitution has become? I do. I have been even more lately. Which leads me to the wording of the pledge of allegiance: "I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America. And to the Republic, for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all." Really? Let's recap for just a moment. This is not a message or portrayal of hate for the country in which I reside; its just a thought or two about how far we have swerved away from the pledge of allegiance.

(1) "And to the Republic for which it stands..." Think about this one for a moment. No comment from me!
(2) "one nation under God, indivisible...." This is not a remark of hate just think about this too. This statement is untrue. As I said before I'm a teacher of God's Word; and there's not one scripture that accepts same sex marriage, the rich staying rich, murder, suicide... there are over 20 religions in the United States alone, and God has very few influence in their message. This country has been divided since its foundation. There is currently division within our government. There is division among the "classes" of society.
(3) "liberty and justice for all...." Where? Not here? Sure you have the liberty to say what you want until you offend someone. Justice applies if your bank account has more that 7 digits. Your'e innocent until proven guilty so they say, but even after your'e proven innocent the court of public opinion has your neck in a noose awaiting to open the gallows.

The United States reminds me of the Israelites, who only followed God long enough to get out of trouble and once they were rescued, returned to the same practices that lead to their destruction; over and over again. We need to understand that there are greater forces that we don't see and won't see because human nature won't allow us to do right with it. Take a few moments out of your hectic day and say "Lord I Thank You" with sincerity in your heart. Help someone in need; it doesn't have to be financially it could be a kind word, a smile, a "hello", or even a "how are you"?. Stop and think about somebody other than yourself. Show love to the man on the street with a cup of coffee and a sandwich. You will be amazed at the blessing you'll receive!
